Established in November 2009, DIAC holds the distinction of being the first ever High Court annexed Institutional Arbitration Centre. It has rightfully earned and cemented its position as one of the most reliable and busiest Institutional Arbitration Centres in the country. Since then, the Centre has evolved as a nation-wide preferred choice for arbitration.
DIAC takes pride in its illustrious contribution towards dispute resolution, and is now ready to unfold its wings in bringing together the global arbitration community by hosting its first ever edition of Delhi Arbitration Weekend, 2023 (DAW). The event aims at building a network of experts, practitioners and academia, by engaging them in dialogues and panel discussions, led by eminent legal luminaries, judges and experts in the field of arbitration, from across the globe.
The event focuses on recent trends and developments in both Domestic and International Arbitration. It aspires to identify and evaluate the best practices in arbitration that can be integrated into the mainstream.
DAW invites various International Arbitration Institutions and key representatives/partners of the top International and Indian law firms specializing in dispute resolution and other experts to contribute towards the resolution of challenges confronting the arbitration community.

Delhi International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) presents the first edition of its arbitration weekend; a platform for discussions and deliberations over emerging challenges, trends and traditions in the sphere of domestic as well as international arbitration. Spread over multiple sessions and powered by distinguished experts and speakers; DAW would be the centre stage for ideating upon the contemporary issues and challenges in the arbitration space.
The event has all the underpinnings of an ideal platform which shall address a range of topics that are relevant in the arbitration ecosystem such as limits to party autonomy, corruption in arbitration, third party funding, role of experts and public policy, etc. and will include niche concepts of construction claims, investment treaties claims, emergency arbitration and conflict of interests in arbitration.
DAW aspires to foster a deeper collaboration within the arbitration community and to enable the participants to unlearn, relearn and reflect better on various aspects discussed during the weekend.
